Celebrating at Home

Since the 4th of July was on a Sunday, most of the celebrations in Idaho Falls took place on Saturday, the 3rd. So the night of the 4th, we did our own fireworks. And by "our own" I of course mean the Chandlers bought them - not me. :)

I woke Johnny up (again) to watch the fireworks, but he wanted nothing to do with it. He wouldn't even poke his head out of the blanket, even with my prodding. He eventually asked to go back to bed! Sweet boy.

Tam did something jazzy with her camera and had us write words with the sparklers, and the camera actually captured it! I've never seen that before. It was really fun. The best part was when Tami told Caleb to write something (meaning something simple, like MOM or CALEB or a smiley face), and he got frustrated it didn't work. Tam asked what he was trying to write and he said EDUCATION! That kid is a definite over-achiever! :)
